Lent coincides with the Spring season which makes it the best time to embrace decluttering while Spring cleaning! If you don’t celebrate lent, no worries, just join us on a 6 week journey of Spring decluttering! In fact, plan a party or a crawfish boil in 6 weeks because a party ALWAYS motivates me to get things done! A black trash bag can hold 40 lbs so let’s see how much “stuff” you can lose in 40 days!
…I quarantined myself to my house and began my recovery. Can you say cabin fever? Holy cow!! This is why I could never live up north. This southern gal needs her sun, fresh air, AND warm temperatures.
While I was cooped up inside, I decided to see what all the fuss was surrounding Marie Kondo’s new Netflix series, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. I am very familiar with the Marie Kondo method, and I am certainly on board with many of her ideas.

…I managed to pull a few things from the rooms that were not being toured which made me feel a teensy bit better. I did make a point to add buy more Christmas decorations to my to-do list…Christmas décor is not clutter free.
But then I realized, that it wasn’t so much the number of decorations that mattered.
I LOVE WRAPPING PRESENTS! I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to unique gift wrapping ideas. For me, gift wrapping is like the final decorating part of the holidays, and y'all know how much I LOVE to decorate. I’m sure several of you are thinking “haven’t you been preaching to us about clutter-free gifts?” Well yes we have, but that does not mean you are exempt from wrapping that gift in a way that emphasizes how truly special it is. Today’s blog is all about making those clutter-free gifts special.
Are you worn out from the hustle and bustle of Christmas? Feeling overwhelmed? Do you keep starting and not finishing your tasks because of the distraction of so many “to do’s” on your plate?
